One of the most common issues CrossFit athletes have in olympic lifting is not pulling themselves into those deep squat catch positions of the snatch and clean. Pulling with speed under the bar without fear is essential to being a sucessful oly lifter. Snatch balance is a great tool to work on this aspect of the snatch. Work your way up in weight and challenge yourself to go heavy to gain the confidence of jumping under and stabilizing heavy weights overhead.
Exercise: Find one rep max Snatch balance w/ no more than 10 lifts, then perforem 3x1 at 90% of that max.
