I spent the large part of 18 years of my life on the treadmill. No joke. The main purpose of my time spent exercising was to burn calories, to weigh a certain amount and to wear a certain size. Why else would anyone work out?
When I first began my CrossFit journey, I had been a full time Personal Trainer and Group Fitness instructor (kickboxing, spinning, abs & glutes!, "bootcamp", you name I taught it...) for 10 years.
A friend introduced me to CrossFit in 2011 and I can honestly say it has been the single most life changing experience for me. That same year we opened our CrossFit 307 Affiliate which has grown to something so incredible, far beyond anything we could have imagined.
Now I don't exercise, I train. I train to be a better athlete. I train to improve upon my weaknesses and to exhibit the best movement patterns possible. I don't think about how much I weigh, except for when it relates to a lift - one day I WILL snatch my bodyweight....
Best of all, I am inspired by our athletes and my fellow coaches every single day. Inspired to conquer obstacles, to attempt what I previously thought impossible, to constantly research and learn, to be a healthy, confident and strong role model. Because of CrossFit and our 307 community, I am inspired to be the best version of myself.
