Sam graduated in 2013 from Michigan State University with a degree in Economics and Business Management. Prior to graduating, he played collegiate soccer for 3 years at Spring Arbor University in Michigan. Sam has played competitive sports his whole life and it left a huge void in his life once it ended. Sam found CrossFit in 2013 and it reinvigorated his passion for health and wellness. Due to serious medical issues, he was unable to exercise for a year. During that year he found scientific solutions to debilitating challenges. He was able to overcome adversity, and ultimately he found his deep “why”. That “why” is what fuels him everyday. Sam wants to be the change for others, and help them to realize their inner strength. Sam has been a Personal Trainer, Head CrossFit Coach, and General Manager since 2015 for gyms in both Louisville and Phoenix. He specializes in designing functional corrective exercise and nutrition programs. He has 6+ years of experience training competitive CrossFit athletes, athletes recovering from injury, and individuals who want to optimize their body composition. One of Sam's biggest passions is coaching sport specific athletes with competitive aspirations, and has helped coach collegiate level athletes reach their goals. Sam strives to provide education, entertainment, and inspiration every session.
